Since the 1970’s the flex offense is an offensive tactic that features passing, screening, and ball-reversal. The flex offense is effective in basketball because all players are interchangeable. The traditional roles of guards, forwards and centers do not affect how this offensive scheme runs. By having all players on the court similaflexoffensebasketballr, no one player has more opportunity to the ball and it makes it harder for the defense to stop the offense. This type of offense is most effective with man to man defenses. In the flex offense, the point guard brings the ball up the court to start the offensive play, the other players move in a pattern to set screens for each other to create openings.

“Wow! What a book. Diagrams are clearly explained and concise. The book can be used at aflexoffenseny level: high school, college, or pro. Great stuff!”
Kenny Atkinson
Assistant Coach, New York Knicks

“In 34 years of coaching high school basketball I have never seen a more complete book that allows you to understand and implement the flex offense into any style of play. Being a skeptic of the flex offense for many years, I was amazed at how easy it is to adapt to any offense, any style and any situation. The secondary break, the inbounds and the side-bounds were a plus to the integration of the flex scheme. I would put this as a must read for any coach regardless of years of experience or style of play.”

Head Coach, Wren (S.C.) High School
